Haylage is a moist hay forage product that has been naturally fermented.

The hay crop is harvested and baled with the sap still in the plant. The bale of hay is wrapped with six layers of an air tight plastic wrap and stored.

Our haylage bales are availabe in two sizes for your convienience:

• The 3x3x3ft bales can be easily manually handled eg through stable doors.
  
  
• The 5x3x3ft bales are mechanically handled but contain more.

Our leys are reseeded regularly for "clean" and "sweet", high quality rye grass although we do make some from meadow grass as an alternative.

Once opened our bales keep sweet for up to 14 days in cool weather. They come apart in flakes - easy to remove a portion at a time to feed.

Feeding Recommendations

A 3 ft bale will last two average horses (16hh) up to a week.
Look at their condition to adust feed rate. (Hard feed can often be drastically reduced)

We also provide hay and straw in various sized square bales.

We can deliver to your yard or you can collect from us. (Some customers use their horse boxes to collect their haylage supplies).
